On April 28, Bill Schwab, Brad Butman, Rob Thieler, and Ellen Mecray (WHFC) accompanied a number of Reston USGS representatives including Bonnie McGregor, Dave Russ and Pat Leahy on a cruise tour of the New York City estuary system in and around the Gateway National Recreation area. Chris Barton, St. Pete Field Center, organized the tour. The cruise again highlighted results of C&MP seafloor mapping efforts in the New York Bight Apex and along southern Long Island. More information about the purpose and result of this cruise is forthcoming from Chris Barton.
