WHFC Staff News July 1999 in this issue:  previous story | next story Debbie Hutchinson (TCS, WHFC) participated as an outside examiner on the dissertation of Jia Fong at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory on June 2. The title of the dissertation was: Styles and Distribution of Continental Extension Derived from the Rift Basins of Eastern Papua, New Guinea. John C. Behrendt, Scientist Emeritus (WHFC), has been awarded the Primio Internationale Felice by the Accademia Nationale dei Lincei and the Italian National Program of Research in Antarctica. This prize is awarded to an Italian or foreign scientist who significantly contributed to the development of Antarctic Research. Marinna Martini (WHFC) has been accepted into the USGS Leadership Development Training Course and will participate in the training the week of October 4, 1999. in this issue:  previous story | next story
