New Coastal and Marine Geology Circular
This Circular highlights recent scientific findings, products, and activities of the USGS Coastal and Marine Geology Program. Research results as highlighted here play a vital role in the USGS endeavor to understand human interactions with the natural environment and to determine how the fundamental geologic processes controlling the Earth work. Planners, government agencies, and the public critically need the scientific knowledge acquired through USGS research, assessment, and monitoring. Effective communication of the results of this research will enable the USGS Coastal and Marine Geology Program to play an integral part in assisting the Nation in responding to the pressing Earth Science challenges of the 21st century.
