Beth Schwarzman (WHFC) is currently teaching a 12-hour staff development course for teachers through the Woods Hole Science and Technology Education Partnership (WHSTEP) and the Falmouth School District. The subject is rocks! Beth is aiming to give teachers the knowledge and skills to teach kids about rocks. Topics include rocks vs. minerals, rock identification and classification, rock formation, and rock weathering and breakdown.
