Rock Course for Teachers Completed
On November 15th, Beth Schwarzman taught the last session of a 12-hour course on rocks for teachers. They finished the course by going back to the rocks they had collected on the first day's field trip and were delighted to discover that they knew much more about them than they had at first. Upon completing the course, each teacher received a rock hammer from the USGS to help them study and teach about rocks more effectively.
