Beth Schwarzman (Woods Hole Field Center) made the rounds of the five first-grade classes at Mullen Hall School in Falmouth, MA, working with each one to help them understand "The Stories Rocks Have to Tell." This annual visit, which has touched 10 groups of first-graders, is part of a year-long curriculum. It includes three field trips to nearby Beebe Woods, where the students put their hands-on classroom work to the test in the field.
